FAQ
Q: What services do you provide for special needs children?
A: We do have accommodations available for the neurodivergent, other than us having a sensory/reading room. We also have fidgets around the building as well as noise canceling headphones available. Independent curriculum is customizable to fit the needs of each child. If you are in the public school system and having a hard time getting proper resources for your child we can also help give advice and support in getting the proper resources for your child. Every child deserves to get a proper education that works for them.
Q: What do you offer for homeschooling?
A: We offer a few things for homeschooling:
We provide a multi sensory approach to learning. We have daily group lessons over a different subject every day. Then we have 1 on 1 time towards the end of the day for 1 on 1 in depth of the group lesson. We also take educational and social field trips. Our main focus is to not only make sure they are learning the 4 basic subjects, but also that they are ready for the real world. They learn grocery shopping, financial literacy, cursive handwriting, how to socialize, rules of going out in public with family (don’t talk to strangers, when lost look for specific people), make themselves a snack (with parental supervision), do laundry and more. We also are constantly working on fine motor and gross motor skills.
We often have field trips, parties and different activities open to other homeschool families. The more the merrier is how we roll, if you would like to join the monthly activity newsletter about what we are doing please fill out the form.
Q: How do you teach with different ages/grade levels?
A: Everyone learns the basics together
To break it down we have a group lesson in the morning where we all learn the basics of the topic we are currently covering. For example lets say it is science day and we are learning about space. As a group they would learn about the number of planets, Gas Giants /Rocky Planets, and the name of the planets in order. During independent time they will get a individualized more in - depth lesson based off their grade level. The 1st grade and below would have activities to help them remember the names of the planets and in order. 2nd and up would have to identify the differences between each planets (gas vs rocky), and do a mini project over space. If you would like to provide a certain curriculum for them to complete during independent time that is fine!
Q: My child has a RBT. Are they allowed to come to the center for sessions?
A: Yes of course!
RBTs and any other therapist are more than welcome to do sessions for your child within the center. Long as we have a set schedule with times we can make sure we have a quiet and empty space for them to work.
Q: What does parent involvement look like?
A: We highly encourage parent involvement.
We love having parents come in and get involved in their child's education. We always encourage parents to join us on field trips, mini classes like art and outreach classes, career days, any parties and so much more. We also schedule check ins with parents at least every other month to check in on your child's progress.
Q: Do you have financial aid or discounts?
A: We have discounts and 3 different payment schedules.
We are sadly not in a position to have any scholarships or accept CAPS or any government/state funding. Until we are able to be in that position we are offering discounts to teachers, active duty military, veterans, and first responders. We also offer discounts for families that enroll more than 1 child.
